Back to New Orleans for the wedding of Tom and Erin at the Omni Royal Orleans. For those of you who don’t know, I’m in the middle of a move to New York City. So, it was so good to be back in New Orleans for one last hurrah before leaving. And this was quite the hurrah. First of all, the Omni is a fantastic venue, and a great one-stop-shop for all of your wedding needs. They took care of everything. Prep, ceremony, reception, everything. At the end of the night, they even provide all of the accoutrements for a second line parade out to a waiting horse-and-carriage. Secondly, a big south Louisiana family was coming together with a big Michigander Italian family for a wedding in the most diverse, most vibrant city in the world. How could this not be awesome?
The wedding day began as I ventured up to the bridal suite. Luckily, Erin is a stylist and thus had access to the best hair and makeup people around. They made her look even more amazing than she already does.

What did I tell you? See? These ladies looked stunning.
Next, I ran down to the room where the fellas were getting ready. Tom was a little bit nervous, but his groomsmen were taking care of him like proper groomsmen do. It’s hard to think about nerves whenever someone is chasing you around the room trying to spray cologne down the front of your pants. After Tom, their next target was…me. Thanks, guys. Thanks a bunch.

But all the nerves, all of the worries, the preparations, the stress, go right out the window when this moment comes. The door opens; Tom cranes his neck to see above the crowd. And here she comes: his soon-to-be bride.

Now, on the the party! This way, folks!

And now, our friends Jack and…Ketel. This is where it gets really fun.

There is so much going on in this one (above), but Tom’s face says it all.
