On Set with My Name is John Michael

A little while back, I had the pleasure of shooting some on-set stills for a music video. Local favorites My Name is John Michael got together with director extraordinaire Jonathan Evans to film the video for “Every Night of the Year”. It took most of the day to get the shots needed for the video, so I had plenty of time to capture the madness. The band took on a older, early-century look for the video with the help of stylist Jen Fairfield, and they played their asses off (even though they were miming to a recorded track). We filmed in a room with beautiful, rich window light and  textured chocolate-brown walls. The soft light and warm tones of the room complemented the band’s look; it was a photographer’s dream, to be honest.  Great light, great band, great guys, great song. Plus, I’ve seen the final edit of the video and it is AMAZING. Prepare to be blown away when it premieres January 15, 2010 at One Eyed Jack’s (615 Toulouse Street, New Orleans). Should be a fun night.

OK, on to the photos:
